Global Disaster Management assists local governments in developing and establishing clear organizational models for disaster recovery that functions under their authority. We provide staff and equipment for scene recovery, mortuary operations, embalming, forensic investigation and human identification from natural and man-made disasters. Global Disaster Management has an excellent relationship working with military personnel, local authorities, and medical teams within a disaster zone, incorporating logistical support into our field operations when and wherever necessary.
Global Disaster Management specializes in the following areas:
Recovery - Locate human remains using eyewitness testimonies, aerial photography, identification of topographic features and GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) technology.
- Search and recover human remains and personal effects
- Transportation of human remains to a controlled facility for further action/investigation
Mortuary Operations - Mortuary support: incorporating administration, receiving, holding, personal effect removal and processing
- Embalming: preservation, sanitation, presentation, casketing and final preparation for repatriation.
Forensic Science - Forensic anthropology: skeletal analysis including age, sex, and stature estimations as well as documenting pathologies and traumas for identification and legal purposes.
- Forensic pathology: autopsy/medical review, finger/foot printing
- Forensic odontology: x-rays to compare ante-mortem, if available, to post-mortem records.
